For more than 20 years, Jim has helped
plan and implement communication strategies for
organizations
across a range of sectors. During that time, he’s
conducted hundreds of media and presentation skills
coaching sessions with senior executives, physicians
and public figures throughout North America.
“I’m passionate about helping my clients
cut through the information clutter to create and
communicate stories that are clear, concise and meaningful,” he
says.
The participants at Jim’s workshops are able
to improve dramatically as presenters – and
communicate like outstanding leaders – as the
result of a coaching model that emphasizes rehearsal
and feedback.
A former journalist with The Toronto Star and the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Jim is an expert
in crisis communications. He frequently provides
counsel to organizations facing challenging public
and internal issues.
Jim is a graduate of Acadia University
in Nova Scotia. He contributes articles on communication
to The Globe
and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper.
His first book, How Leaders Speak, is to be published
by Dundurn Press in 2010.
