Project Management for Executives

WHO
SHOULD ATTEND:
This
one day workshop is recommended for senior executives, business
leaders, directors, vice-presidents or any one at a senior
level who is involved with project decision-making or providing
leadership to staff whose role is to manage projects. This
program is not directed at project managers. Project managers
should attend “Project Management for Managers”.
WHAT
YOU WILL LEARN:
Participants
will gain a clear understanding of the project management
process and how it can facilitate an organization’s
success through a structured approach. It will address what
you can expect from competent project management, and what
executives should be prepared to provide to Project Managers
and their teams.
Participants
will learn the value of project management to the organization
including a review of some current research, which clearly
quantifies the value of sound project management techniques
to the organization. Participants will get an overview of
the tools and techniques that make up industry best practices
and the benefits of applying those tools within their organization.

Pre-Work
Participants will be asked to complete an electronic survey.
This is designed to identify their project management experience
level, typical types of projects that they would sponsor and
their specific needs and issues relative to project management
and their executive role. The facilitator then summarizes
this information for discussion in the workshop and ensures
that these issues and needs are addressed during the workshop.
